‚ÄčAs a leader in SharePoint and Office 365, we know all too well the pain that comes with deploying, migrating, developing, and managing SharePoint sites - both on-premises and in SharePoint Online.

We originally developed CloudPower as a tool to migrate files into cloud based SharePoint sites using a simple PowerShell interface. Over time, our tools have grown into much more. CloudPower enables automation of many common SharePoint administration and development tasks including: provisioning sites, working with site columns and content types, editing metadata in lists and libraries, and much more.

One key benefit to CloudPower that makes it different from other products is that it uses technologies like CSOM, SharePoint web services, and REST - similar to the way that SharePoint Designer connects to the server. This allows us to run commands against the SharePoint site from our client computers, provided we have an account with permissions to perform actions against the SharePoint web site. It's great for situations where you need functions like those traditionally done by PowerShell on the SharePoint server otself, but where you don't have access to remote desktop.

CloudPower works with:

  • Office 365 SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2013, and SharePoint 2010
  • Network file shares and local drives of all kinds
  • Windows 7/8/8.1/10 and Windows Server 2008 or higher

It's easy to install CloudPower, connect to Office 365, and get started using the many dozens of time savings commands we've developed. Just download the installer and request a license key, and you'll be well on your way to easier Office 365 SharePoint Online implementations. CloudPower can even be used in lite mode for free.

Some vendors charge thousands of dollars for similar capabilities, and many keep the taxi meter running so they can charge you for every GB you upload to the cloud. CloudPower is unique in that you can upload an unlimited number of files to Office 365 even in our free edition.
